About Kris Baines, MA, CCC-SLP
Kris(tin) Baines, MA, CCC-SLP, is a Speech-Language Pathologist with more than 20 years of experience. Her offices are located in the East San Francisco Bay Area (Walnut Creek) and in the greater Sacramento area (Roseville and Carmichael). She earned her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Colorado-Boulder and completed her CFY at the Children's Hospital Oakland Speech/Language Center. Kris provides speech-language therapy and diagnostic services to children of all ages and adults.
Consultation, assessment, and therapy services are provided in the following areas:

*Early Intervention with Late Talking Children
*Articulation/Phonological Disorders/Apraxia of Speech
*Language Processing Disorders, including comprehension of language delays/disorders and auditory-verbal processing disorders

*Language Disorders related to Autism Spectrum Disorder
*Reading/Dyslexia/Phonological Processing Disorders
*Accent Reduction
*Selective Mutism

Individual weekly therapy service, consultation, and complete diagnostic evaluations are available. Group therapy is offered when available.

Therapy sessions, consultation sessions, and evaluations are billed as "fee for service." Ms. Baines generally does not contract with health insurance, school districts, or other agencies.

Kristin Baines, MA, CCC-SLP, is certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, and actively participates in Continuing Education and multidisciplinary groups.

Finn, a friendly, playful, Aussiedoodle, loves students.

He is hypoallergenic and is trained as a therapy dog.

Finn can be an ice breaker for new or anxious clients.

He can be involved in therapy sessions as much or as little as clients want him to be.
Insurance Policy
Services billed as "fee for service"
Payment is required at the time of service. If you plan to seek reimbursement from your insurance company for speech/language services, it is your responsibility to determine that speech/language therapy is a covered service, and that they will reimburse for an "out of network" provider. This clinic will provide you with receipts (super bills) upon request. Required paperwork such as chart notes, evaluation reports, progress notes, etc. can also be provided. It is the responsibility of the client to provide any required paperwork to their insurance.
